Q: Can you provide a brief background about yourself, your family, and your business?
As the Managing Director of Australia of Iotasol Pty Ltd, I lead a team of passionate and skilled professionals who deliver best-in-class mobile and web solutions to our clients across various industries. With over 15 years of experience in the digital domain, I have worked with global brands such as DHL, FIFA, and Fuji Xerox, as well as founded my own tech services start-up.
My core competencies include digital strategy, digital transformation, e-commerce, express logistics, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, supply chain, and product/service delivery. I have also earned certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) and PRINCE2. I am driven by the mission of creating value for my clients by enhancing their business operations, enabling them to save more than 20-30% of cost, and achieving double-digit month-on-month growth. I have been involved in the building of various amazing technology platforms. I pride myself on delivering exceptional client service, innovative solutions, and positive impact.
I have a small and happy family, I live with my wife (Monika), a 2-year-old son (Kiaan) and a 4-year-old Toy Poodle (Mishti).
Q: What inspired you to be an entrepreneur?
I come from a business family of several generations. My father relocated to a new city when he was 24 years old. He inspired me to be a businessman. I learnt a lot of things from him about how to do business and things that I would never do as a business owner.
Q: What aspects of being an entrepreneur do you enjoy the most?
In my business, it is having the flexibility of working from anywhere and controlling my own time of how much or how little I want to work. Finally, I always say, I am not just building a life for my family. I am building a life for 140 families that work with me.
Q: What significant challenges have you encountered as an entrepreneur?
Hiring the right people and keeping them with me longer is what I find the most challenging aspect of being an entrepreneur. If you don’t have good people around, you can’t build a business to scale globally.
Q: What motivated you to join EO?
I have known about EO since 2014 from one of my friends who joined EO in India. I loved how he talked about EO. I said I would join EO one day and that day came last year in August when I could join and spend time with various amazing entrepreneurs in Melbourne and around the world.
Q: Can you share a valuable lesson you’ve learned from your own experience or from another entrepreneur or mentor?
Always stay curious and open to learning. Life will always teach you a new lesson every day. If you block yourself from learning and improving, you will never move forward. Finally, another thing I have learnt is how to stay sane and not lose your mind. “Can you fix it? Yes, why worry! Can you fix it? No, why worry!”
