On 28 November 2025, EO Melbourne was proud to host the launch of our new Senior Leadership Program, delivered in partnership with Debra Chantry-Taylor and Adam Harris from Business Action.

This program has been created to support the senior leaders who work alongside our EO Members, particularly in entrepreneurial & family businesses that are growing fast, facing increasing complexity, or preparing for their next stage of scale.

The launch session was a fantastic success. Our participants arrived ready to engage, ask challenging questions, connect with one another, and explore what effective leadership looks like in businesses driven by vision, pace & innovation. The energy in the room was outstanding, and the feedback was immediate. They left with practical insights, new tools & a clearer understanding of what it means to work in strong partnership with a founder.

The Senior Leadership Program is a 12-month experience that covers:

  • Leadership foundations for entrepreneurial and family business environments

  • Building trust and clarity in the Visionary–Senior Leader partnership

  • Leading, managing and holding people accountable

  • Improving communication rhythms for better alignment and less friction

  • Making faster, clearer decisions with well-defined decision rights

  • Prioritising, simplifying and building structures that enable growth

  • Strengthening leadership identity, confidence and influence

Participants also received a Kindle pre-loaded with recommended leadership reading, a comprehensive programme pack, a learning pathway across the full year and a supportive cohort to grow with.

This initiative forms part of EO Melbourne’s commitment to develop stronger leaders, healthier teams and more resilient businesses across our community.

The full program begins in February 2026, and limited spaces are still available. If your senior leader is ready to step up, grow their capability and strengthen their partnership with you, this programme is designed to support their development in a practical, meaningful way.

For more information or to enquire about enrolment, please contact Kirsten Yokoyama at manager@eomelbourne.org or visit our Senior Leadership Program page.

EO Melbourne gathered for a productive Annual General Meeting that set a clear course for the chapter’s year ahead, bringing members together to reflect on achievements, review key updates, and align on the path forward.

The evening then shifted gears as members welcomed renowned futurist and demographer Simon Kuestenmacher, Co-founder and Director of The Demographics Group, for the highly anticipated session Outrageous Optimism: Demographic Certainties – Running a Business in Volatile Times.

Simon, known for his compelling analysis of global and demographic trends, delivered an energetic and data-rich exploration of the forces shaping Australia’s future. Drawing on his extensive work as a columnist for The New Daily, contributor to The Australian, and one of the world’s leading data communicators, he showed how demographic trends offer both clarity and strategic advantage, even in an environment defined by geopolitical tension, economic shifts, and rapid technological change. His presentation blended sharp visuals, long-range population insights, and an ability to translate complex demographic patterns into clear, actionable thinking for business leaders.

Throughout the session, Simon emphasised that while volatility dominates daily headlines, certain demographic forces remain predictable, and understanding them helps entrepreneurs make smarter long-term decisions.

His discussion highlighted the realities of population growth, workforce transitions, generational change, and shifting consumer values, giving members a grounded view of the decade ahead. While he avoided definitive predictions, his message centred on preparing with intent, investing in capability, and being responsive to the structural shifts already underway.

For EO Melbourne’s community of entrepreneurs, the session served as both a strategic lens and a spark of optimism. Members left with a deeper appreciation of the demographic currents shaping Australia’s business landscape, more confidence in planning for uncertainty, and a sharper perspective on where opportunities may emerge next.

Combined with the AGM’s forward-focused energy, the evening marked a meaningful close to the chapter’s calendar and an empowering call to approach the future with clarity, adaptability, and yes, a little outrageous optimism.

Shabbat Dinner Marks the Start of EO Melbourne’s Cultural Learning Events

EO Melbourne has long been a community where entrepreneurial spirit meets diverse lived experience, and this year, that richness has become the heart of a new initiative: the Cultural Learning Program.

Designed to honour the many cultures that shape our chapter, the program creates opportunities for members to learn from one another through authentic, meaningful, and immersive experiences. It recognises that our backgrounds are as varied as our businesses, rooted in different cultures, shaped by different stories, and carried across generations. By bringing these stories to the forefront, the program strengthens connection, deepens understanding, and celebrates the multicultural fabric that defines EO Melbourne.

The first event in this series—the Shabbat Dinner—set a beautiful tone for what this program stands for. Hosted at the historic St Kilda Synagogue, members stepped into a tradition cherished for centuries, guided by Rabbi Yaakov Glasman and EO Melbourne member Dean Cherny.

The evening began with a Shabbat service filled with uplifting choral music and clear explanations that made the experience accessible even to those encountering it for the first time. It continued with a traditional four-course kosher feast, from challah and matzah ball soup to slow-cooked meats and Jewish sweets, creating a setting where culture and conversation flowed effortlessly.

More than a shared meal, the night offered personal insights into Jewish life, thoughtful storytelling, and lively Q&A that encouraged genuine curiosity. Members connected over traditions, values, and experiences that may have been new to some but resonated with all. The warmth of the community, the hospitality of the hosts, and the rich history of the Shule created an atmosphere that felt both welcoming and profound.

The Shabbat Dinner not only marked the launch of EO Melbourne’s Cultural Learning Program but also reflected what makes our chapter exceptional: a willingness to learn from one another, an appreciation for difference, and a belief that culture becomes most powerful when shared.

As more members come forward with event ideas, this pilot program promises to open new pathways for connection through food, music, storytelling, heritage, and the lived experiences that make our community extraordinary.

The experience began with intentional breathwork to energise and centre the body, followed by a restorative immersion in the soothing tones of ancient and electronic instruments. As the sounds filled the room, layers of tension and stress seemed to dissolve, leaving a sense of calm clarity.

More than a wellness activity, this session reflected EO Melbourne’s commitment to holistic leadership development, recognising that thriving as an entrepreneur extends beyond business success. The chapter continually seeks out experiences that nourish both the professional and the personal, helping members cultivate balance, creativity, and resilience.

Participants left feeling lighter and more grounded, many noting improved focus, deeper relaxation, and renewed energy. For some, the session unlocked creative ideas; for others, it simply offered space to breathe amid the demands of leadership.

AI Transformation for 2025 and Beyond: Preparing for What Comes Next

The AI shift isn’t coming. It’s already here, accelerating faster than most businesses anticipated. What was once viewed as a supporting tool is now shaping up to be the infrastructure driving growth, innovation, and competitiveness across industries.

EO Melbourne’s recent event, AI Transformation for 2025 and Beyond, gave members the chance to explore this reality and uncover the opportunities and challenges AI presents. With insights from Zanyar Outhman (Zuse Digital, Jabri) and Dan Petrovic (DEJAN), the discussion focused on practical questions every entrepreneur must now face.

With insights from Zanyar Outhman (Zuse Digital, Jabri) and Dan Petrovic (DEJAN), the discussion centred not on abstract theories but on the technical aspects of AI, which is now rapidly shaping how businesses operate.

The first presentation explored how AI is moving from assistance to action. Concepts like agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) are no longer technical buzzwords. They are tools enabling smarter workflows, empowering teams, and creating long-term operational advantage. Members walked away with a clearer understanding of how human-AI collaboration is already transforming professional services and other industries.

The second topic posed a confronting question: What does AI think about your brand? As customers increasingly rely on AI-powered tools to make purchasing decisions, brands are surfaced, compared, and ranked in real time. For entrepreneurs, this means brand visibility is no longer just about traditional search. It requires understanding how AI evaluates and positions your business in the age of intelligent discovery.

By hosting conversations like these, EO Melbourne ensures its members are not just watching the AI revolution unfold. They are actively preparing for it. As we move into 2025 and beyond, EO continues to equip its community with the knowledge and foresight needed to harness AI’s potential before it defines their industries without them.

How often do you get the chance to sit just metres from a billionaire and hear the unfiltered truth behind his journey? EO Melbourne members were treated to such a rare occasion at Up Close and Personal with Larry Kestelman. Held at the striking Fantauzzo Gallery in South Yarra, the evening featured EO member Leah Akoka, Founder and Managing Director of Wall Street, guiding the conversation as the host.

Larry Kestelman, Executive Group Chairman of the LK Group and owner of the National Basketball League (NBL), shared the remarkable story of his rise from migrant beginnings to one of Australia’s most influential business leaders. Best known for founding Dodo, a telecommunications company he successfully sold in 2013, Larry has since expanded his business empire across property, private equity, retail, hospitality and sport. His ventures include the six-star Capitol Grand development in South Yarra and acclaimed hospitality venues Yugen Dining and Omnia Bistro & Bar, both awarded two hats in 2023.

The evening was far from a lecture. Larry spoke openly about the challenges, triumphs and pivotal decisions that shaped his career. Members were able to ask questions and hear first-hand the philosophies that drive him, including his belief in surrounding oneself with the best people and embracing the mindset that “you don’t know what you don’t know.” His reflections on leadership, resilience and growth struck a chord with entrepreneurs eager to apply these lessons to their own journeys.

Kestelman also highlighted his transformative stewardship of the NBL. Since acquiring the league in 2015, he has overseen its meteoric rise with record-breaking attendance, membership and viewership. For him, sport is more than entertainment: it is an avenue to inspire communities, foster talent and bring people together. His passion for both business and people was evident throughout the evening, leaving members with not just admiration but actionable insights.

With glasses raised and conversations flowing well into the night, Up Close and Personal with Larry Kestelman was more than an event. It was an experience that epitomised the spirit of EO Melbourne: connection, learning and growth in an intimate and inspiring setting. For entrepreneurs who want to push boundaries, gain access to world-class experiences and build meaningful relationships with peers who understand the challenges of leadership, EO Melbourne offers a community like no other.

Startup to Scaling Up with Women in EO: Stories of Grit and Growth

Women in entrepreneurship are reshaping the business landscape through building, scaling and leading with resilience and purpose. EO Melbourne’s Startup to Scaling Up event placed that journey centre stage as it gathers a dynamic audience of founders, business owners, and aspiring EO members to hear directly from female leaders who’ve done just that.

The discussion pulled back the curtain on what it really takes to grow a business: the hard decisions, the high stakes, and the deeply personal wins. Fresh from the Fireside Chat with The Hon. Julia Gillard AC, the audience was treated to even more insights, this time from female EO members who are leading from the frontlines of business.

Leading the conversation was Tracy Angwin, Marketing and Partnership Director of the EO APAC Regional Council and Founder of Australian Payroll Association. Known for her straight-talking style and strategic mindset, Tracy guided the panel through the question at the heart of the event: What does it really take to grow a business and lead with impact? The answers came from four powerhouse women in EO—Dawn Piebenga (EO Sydney), Melissa Strutt (EO Perth), Leah Akoka (EO Melbourne), and Donna Guest (EO Melbourne)—each with a distinct perspective and a refreshingly honest take on the entrepreneurial journey.

The panel didn’t sugarcoat the experience. Dawn shared how she built and led a national team in the complex world of medico-legal assessments, driven by empathy and precision. Melissa opened up about building and exiting one of Perth’s largest independent agencies, while balancing family and a fierce competitive spirit. Leah lit up the room with her insights on redefining productivity through people, and Donna spoke of building a brand that blends business with beauty, creativity with commerce. The stories resonated because they were real, marked by resilience, evolution, and clarity of purpose.

Throughout the session, what stood out was not just the success, but the solidarity. These women didn’t just build businesses, they built capacity—for themselves and others. They spoke of the pivotal moments where EO helped them level up: the conversations that challenged them, the connections that pushed them forward, and the community that never let them feel alone in the climb.

That spirit of growth was echoed by James Murray, EO Melbourne’s Membership Chair, who took the stage to introduce EO’s unique ecosystem. He walked the audience through the Four Truths of EO and its Four Pillars: Forum, Events, Network, and Leadership. Together, these pillars support a holistic kind of development, one that fuels not only business success but also personal transformation.

For those in the room, especially the women looking for more than just a business network, Startup to Scaling Up offered a glimpse of what EO truly stands for. It’s a global community that values authenticity, growth, and impact. Whether you're just starting or scaling to the next level, EO is a place where entrepreneurs grow together. Ready to find your tribe? EO is where it begins.

EO Melbourne recently hosted a powerful and thought-provoking Fireside Chat with The Hon. Julia Gillard AC, Australia’s 27th Prime Minister, and the first and only woman to have held the role. EO Melbourne recently hosted a powerful and thought-provoking Fireside Chat with The Hon. Julia Gillard AC, Australia’s 27th Prime Minister, and the first and only woman to have held the role. This exclusive EO event offered members a rare opportunity to hear firsthand from one of the nation’s most respected leaders, whose insights into leadership, trust, and resilience left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Moderated by Tracy Angwin, Marketing and Partnership Director of the EO APAC Regional Council, the conversation went beyond the headlines and into the lived reality of leadership at the highest level. Ms Gillard shared candid reflections drawn from her time in public life, offering a glimpse into the personal and professional demands of leading under pressure.

The Power of Purpose

A key theme throughout the discussion was the power of purpose as a guiding force. Ms Gillard spoke of how anchoring decisions and actions to a clear sense of purpose enabled her to navigate complexity, manage time, and stay emotionally grounded. Far from being a motivational slogan, purpose became a practical tool for filtering what truly mattered and what didn’t.

Aligning Values and Opportunities

Ms Gillard also explored how aligning values, surrounding oneself with the right people, and crafting a lifestyle that supports long-term wellbeing are all essential filters for choosing opportunities. These insights sparked powerful reflection among EO members, many of whom recognised similar decision points in their own leadership journeys. Her message reinforced the idea that success is not just about power but it’s about using influence in service of what truly matters.

Inclusive Leadership and Gender Equity

Her perspectives on gender equity and inclusive leadership further enriched the conversation. Drawing from her co-authored book Women and Leadership: Real Lives, Real Lessons, she highlighted the value of lived experience and the importance of creating space for diverse voices in leadership.

A Unique Experience from EO

This EO-only event was a reminder of the power of authentic dialogue and learning from those who have walked the path before us. Ms Gillard’s wisdom, grace, and unfiltered stories offered not only valuable leadership lessons, but also an inspiring call to lead with purpose, clarity, and courage.

This event was a powerful reminder of what makes EO truly unique: real conversations with remarkable leaders, shared among like-minded entrepreneurs committed to growth. If you're a founder or business owner seeking deeper connection, world-class learning, and a trusted peer network, reach out. EO might be exactly what you’ve been searching for.

More than a celebration, the evening marked the close of an incredible financial year, honoured outstanding achievements, and welcomed the chapter’s new leadership. Guests arrived in style, caught up with peers and friends, and embraced the spirit of connection that defines the EO experience.

On Saturday, 21 June, the Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, was filled with energy, elegance and emotion as EO Melbourne gathered for the most anticipated event of the year: the Annual Awards & Gala Dinner.

More than a celebration, the evening marked the close of an incredible financial year, honoured outstanding achievements, and welcomed the chapter’s new leadership. Guests arrived in style, caught up with peers and friends, and embraced the spirit of connection that defines the EO experience. The night was expertly hosted by EO Melbourne Accelerator, Benny Gregs.

One of the most applauded moments was the announcement of Ash Woodcock as Entrepreneur of the Year. Ash received more nominations than any other contender, with members recognising their exceptional growth and determination. Ash has grown their business by 160% in just three years, expanded into new states across Australia, and is now exploring international markets. Alongside business success, Ash also achieved personal transformation, overhauling their health and completing a full marathon within a year. Members described Ash as ambitious, humble and driven—a clear reflection of EO values in action.

Another emotional highlight came with the presentation of the President’s Award to Simon Collins. Known for his quiet leadership and unwavering generosity, Simon consistently stepped up throughout the year without seeking recognition. He gave time, energy and heart to the EO community, supported fellow members through challenges, and earned deep respect across the chapter. Simon’s commitment to service and his genuine care for others made him a truly deserving recipient.

The evening also marked the formal gavel handover from outgoing President Costa Vasili to incoming President John Bevitt. Costa reflected on a year defined by growth and unity, while John outlined his vision for the year ahead. As the new financial year begins, John leads a dynamic board:

President: John Bevitt
Communications Chair: Costa Vasili
Accelerator Chair: Ryan Spaccavento
Finance Chair: Anthony Lam
Forum Chair: Jacob Spencer
Forum Co-Chair: Graham McNicol
Priority Programs Chair (Key Executive, Mentorship and MyEO): Shan Manickam
Learning Co-Chairs: Janice Tan, Vince Lebon and Natalia Scheidegger
Membership Chair: James Murray
Membership Co-Chair: Rick Bazerghi
Strategic Alliance Chair: Simon Collins and Dim Nedanovski

In addition to the major awards, the evening also recognised other outstanding contributions within the community. Forum Una, led by Moderator Edison Nguyen, took home the Forum Cup Champion award. Jane Save was named Accelerator of the Year. The Values Awards celebrated EO members who embody the organisation’s guiding principles: Costa Vasili (Together We Grow), Rick Bazerghi (Trust and Respect; Thirst for Learning), and James Murray and Ben Simpson (Think Big, Be Bold).

The night didn’t end when the awards did. Post-event drinks continued the celebrations in style, offering more time for connection, reflection and a few dancefloor moves.

The 2025 Annual Awards & Gala Dinner reminded us why EO Melbourne remains such a powerful community—one where success is shared, leadership is earned, and growth is always a collective pursuit.

Elite Performance Intensive with Itamar Marani: A Deep Dive into What’s Really Holding You Back

When Itamar Marani first spoke at the NEXUS Chapter Retreat in Phuket, the reaction was electric. Dozens of EO Melbourne members reached out afterwards, all asking the same thing: “How can I work with him again?”

On 12 June, they got their answer.

Flying in from Thailand, EO Bangkok Metropolitan member Itamar returned to lead Elite Performance Intensive, a half-day, no-fluff workshop designed for founders who know they’re capable of more but feel like they’re still driving with the handbrake on.

This wasn’t another rah-rah motivational session. Itamar brought the same quiet intensity and clarity that made his Phuket presentation so impactful—only this time, we went deeper.

Drawing from his unique background as an Israeli Special Forces operative, international counter-terrorism leader, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, and now performance coach to over 100 entrepreneurs leading 7–9 figure businesses, Itamar walked EO members through a proven process to root out internal resistance and create forward momentum with focus and integrity.

Members walked away with a renewed sense of clarity and actionable strategies. They identified the single, high-leverage action they’d been avoiding—often the very thing that could unlock the next level in their business. They learned to isolate the core internal bottlenecks that have been silently sabotaging progress, and were equipped with a practical, three-step framework to separate real-world risks from the emotional noise that clouds decision-making. Rather than coping with mental blocks, they were guided to resolve them. And perhaps most powerfully, they gained a simple tool to catch fear in the moment, allowing them to move forward with decisiveness and courage instead of hesitation and doubt.

One of the most compelling aspects of the session was Itamar’s live coaching with attendees. Members opened up about personal and professional challenges, and in minutes, patterns were unpacked, reframed and resolved with precision.

His coaching style is direct but deeply respectful. He doesn’t sugar-coat, but he does listen. And when he speaks, it’s with the authority of someone who’s led Navy SEALs, managed 9-figure security operations, and walked away from it all to build a life aligned with his values.

What makes Itamar’s approach so effective is that it’s rooted in lived experience. He’s seen what happens when performance is driven by fear, ego, or external pressure, and what’s possible when it’s grounded in clarity and calm. Over the past five years, he’s helped founders around the world break out of overwhelm and step into a more strategic, centred version of themselves. EO Melbourne members got a powerful taste of that process—and many left with breakthroughs that had been years in the making.

If the post-event conversations are anything to go by, Itamar’s return was exactly what many members needed. Raw, focused, and truly transformative, the Elite Performance Intensive delivered far more than insights. It created traction.

Stronger Together: How the SLP Forum Is Building Connection and Growth

In a world where deep connection often takes a back seat to busy schedules and competing priorities, the EO Melbourne Spousal/Life Partner (SLP) Forum Training offered something rare: an intentional space to build meaningful relationships, share real stories, and step into a community designed to support and elevate.

In a world where deep connection often takes a back seat to busy schedules and competing priorities, the EO Melbourne Spousal/Life Partner (SLP) Forum Training offered something rare: an intentional space to build meaningful relationships, share real stories, and step into a community designed to support and elevate.

More than a training session, the recent gathering became a launchpad for personal growth and lasting connection. Held exclusively for EO members' spouses and life partners, the event welcomed a vibrant group of participants: Olivia Akdeniz, Maryann Constantine, Morgan Forrest, Jane van der Vlies, Luke Gunders, Anthony Anderson, Elaine Canny, and Sheree Rubinstein—each one taking their first step into the powerful world of EO Forum.

What Is the SLP Program All About?

While EO is best known for transforming the lives of entrepreneurs, the SLP Program reflects the organisation’s broader mission: to create positive change in every part of life—including at home. Offered completely free to spouses and life partners, the program opens up access to the same depth of connection, learning, and growth that EO members experience.

At the heart of this is the opportunity to join a Forum—a confidential, peer-led group where individuals meet regularly to share their experiences, gain insight, and navigate life with the support of those who truly understand the journey.

The SLP Forum Training provides essential grounding in the structure, language, and values of Forum. But more than that, it offers a glimpse into what’s possible when you’re part of a community that values authenticity, support, and growth.

Why the Forum Experience Matters

Joining an SLP Forum is completely optional—but for those who do, the benefits speak for themselves. Forum becomes a trusted circle, a monthly anchor where life partners can pause, reflect, and gain perspective. It’s a space to be heard without judgement, to share without advice-giving, and to grow in ways that ripple across all areas of life.

As an added bonus, SLP Forum members receive access to most EO Melbourne events, including world-class speakers, social experiences, and exclusive learning opportunities. For many, this becomes a pathway to not only personal enrichment, but also expanding one’s network and discovering new possibilities.

A Richer EO Experience

What made this recent training so impactful wasn’t just the tools or the frameworks—it was the people. As participants shared stories, asked questions, and supported one another, the essence of EO came to life: shared experience, deep connection, and mutual growth.

For EO members, seeing their life partners step into this space is incredibly meaningful. And for those who attended, it’s the beginning of a journey that promises even more.

To every spouse and life partner of EO members considering the SLP Program: this is your invitation to be part of something bigger.Whether you’re curious about what EO means to your partner, looking to meet like-minded individuals, or ready to invest in your own development—the SLP Program is here for you.

No cost. No pressure. Just a warm welcome into a thriving, values-driven community.

Let’s grow together.

Startup to Standout: The Making of Luxury Escapes

What does it take to turn a bold idea—born in a storage room—into a billion-dollar global travel brand? At EO Melbourne’s latest signature event, Scaling to a Billion: The Luxury Escapes Story, the spotlight was on Adam Schwab, the Co-Founder and CEO behind one of Australia’s most remarkable startup journeys.

Adam’s path to entrepreneurship didn’t follow the usual script. A corporate lawyer by training, he specialised in mergers and acquisitions at one of Australia’s top firms before making the leap into business. In 2010, alongside school friend Jeremy Same, Adam co-founded what would eventually become Luxury Escapes—despite having no background in the travel industry. Their beginnings were humble: a cramped storage room, limited resources, and a belief that there was a better way to connect travellers with luxury experiences.

That belief laid the groundwork for what would become one of the fastest-growing travel companies in the world. By disrupting the traditional online travel agency model, Luxury Escapes introduced a new way of doing business—focusing on curated, value-packed travel deals rather than a vast inventory of listings. The company quickly gained traction, striking a chord with aspirational travellers looking for quality, convenience, and exclusivity.

Adam shared the pivotal moments that shaped their growth: the early failures, the strategic pivots, and the decision to prioritise the customer experience above all else. From ditching the group-buying approach to investing heavily in technology and branding, each decision reflected a mindset focused on long-term value rather than short-term wins. He also highlighted the challenge—and opportunity—of taking on global giants in the travel space. Rather than competing on scale alone, Luxury Escapes carved out its competitive edge through supplier partnerships, a strong content and marketing strategy, and a relentless focus on quality.

Despite the rapid growth and international expansion, Adam stressed the importance of remaining anchored to the company’s original values. Staying agile, listening to customers, and maintaining a startup mentality have helped Luxury Escapes scale without losing what made it special in the first place.

Adam’s entrepreneurial journey is a powerful reminder that success often begins where comfort ends. From a legal career to building a billion-dollar brand, his story speaks to the value of trusting your instincts, embracing uncertainty, and thinking differently.

There’s a lot to learn from the experiences of those who’ve built something from the ground up—and Adam Schwab’s journey offers lessons in resilience, reinvention, and the power of bold thinking.

Accelerating Growth: EO Melbourne Unlocks Leadership Growth with EOS

At our recent EO Melbourne workshop “Accelerating Growth: Unlocking Your Leadership Potential with EOS”, members took a bold step to confront these challenges head-on and walked away with the tools to lead with renewed clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Every entrepreneur reaches a moment when growth feels out of reach—when strategy stalls, communication falters, or momentum slips. At our recent EO Melbourne workshop “Accelerating Growth: Unlocking Your Leadership Potential with EOS”, members took a bold step to confront these challenges head-on and walked away with the tools to lead with renewed clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Delivered by EOS Implementers Debra Chantry-Taylor and Adam Harris from EO Melbourne's Strategic Alliance Partner, Business Action, the full-day session brought together EO Melbourne members for an immersive, hands-on experience grounded in the proven principles of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). Far from theory, this workshop offered real-world tools for real-world issues.

Debra and Adam led the group through the five essential leadership abilities required to break through growth ceilings, setting the tone with an EOS overview that demystified the system's practical application. Members explored how to get unstuck and re-energise their teams by identifying what truly matters—and acting on it with discipline.

One of the most resonant moments came during the Radical Candour session, where members learned to navigate tough conversations with both empathy and honesty. This powerful segment encouraged leaders to foster trust through transparency, strengthening team alignment and improving decision-making.

In the afternoon, the spotlight turned to the dynamic between Visionaries and Integrators. As Adam put it, “It takes two types of leaders to build something extraordinary.” The session helped members identify their natural tendencies and understand how to pair vision with execution to fuel sustainable growth.

Later, the Issues session tackled the uncomfortable but necessary work of removing friction—whether interpersonal or structural. By unpacking how to solve root causes rather than symptoms, participants saw how EOS can transform persistent problems into powerful breakthroughs.

The day wrapped up with a session on implementation—Pulling It All Together—where Debra and Adam shared various paths to making EOS stick, whether through self-implementation or guided support. Real-world case studies illustrated how companies like those in the room had used EOS to streamline operations, align teams, and scale with purpose.

Throughout the day, members gained practical tools and inspiring insights that challenged them to think differently, lead boldly, and take decisive steps toward growth—not just for their businesses, but for themselves as leaders.

The EOS Workshop marked another high-impact learning experience for EO Melbourne—proving once again that when entrepreneurs come together to learn and grow, breakthroughs happen.
